[Warning: Spoilers in images and preview].

You know that moment last week when Art offered to go get Alison and you thought to yourself, “that’s a capital Bad Idea, there, Art?” Yeah, go with that.

So, the pickup goes sideways (as you completely expect) but from there, it’s a whodunnit as everybody chases leads in different manners.

It’s a busy hour, as several other characters still have a lot to sort through:

  • Boyd puts his explosives skills to work again when he’s requested at a sitdown with Wynn, Picker, and Mary Steenburgen’s Katherine Hale.
  • Katherine Hale has a formidable reputation, and a history with ADA Vasquez.
  • Picker pushes Boyd too far (and can we take a moment to recognize John Kapelos on the 30th anniversary of The Breakfast Club‘s detention day?).
  • The Crowes are still a mess and the consensus is that somehow Raylan murdered Danny from 20 feet away. We never see Dewey.
  • Darryl surfaces long enough to taunt Raylan, who makes him a promise.
  • At the prison, Ava gets a surprising reception after Judith’s death.
  • At the Marshal’s office,  Rachel gets her own surprise.

By the end of it, the big fat flashing neon red herring (for me) was that nobody requested a gunshot residue (GSR) test to confirm a confession. We’ll see if that comes up next week.
