[Warning: General spoilers ahead.]
Sunday’s episode of The Strain follows up on Eph’s grand gesture against the Strigoi last week as he and his newfound crew find themselves on the receiving end of some really unwanted attention.
Although in harm’s way, they get closer to the truth of what exactly The Partnership means by “units.” And Eph makes a confession or two to Alex, one of which clarifies a question that’s hovered since the premiere.
Over at Strigoi Babyville, Dutch is backed into a corner by Desai, who’s equally cornered by Eichorst, when he delivers an ultimatum to her about how she can serve the organization or be shunted off to another dark corner. She struggles over saving her soul or getting out alive and stumbles into something much more grim than she expected.
Gus and Creem face a new threat in their entrepreneurial enterprise and decide to retaliate in a literal “guns blazing” fashion, which reveals a possible rift in their partnership.
We’re not yet halfway through the final 10 as the show takes its time setting up all the dominoes. I do hope we get to see Setrakian soon. In the timeline of the show, and for us as viewers, it’s been too long.
