Mei’s secret identity isn’t quite so secret anymore this week on Hell on Wheels as the action flips back to Truckee.
Bohannon responds first as a gentleman, and then not, as he has a long-overdue confrontation with Chang that’s not just weighted in Mei’s situation, but also the death of her father. While that’s going on, Huntington is navigating his own relationship with Chang, and the powers beyond him, to keep his railroad humming along.
It’s an emotional episode that brings an initially resistant Bohannon back to the man he is, just this time motivated by love instead of hate.
