This week on SurrealEstate, writer Hannah Cheesman and director T.W. Peacocke deliver a whiplash of an episode that runs the gamut from silly and weird to terrifying and heartbreaking. Set those DVRs to run a scoche over if you’re recording it.
First up, Susan has some follow up maintenance on a recent sale when the new owners call about a mystery prophesying toaster that they didn’t bring with them and that they can’t seem to dispose of. Separately, Rita handles a sale for an expectant couple, Claire and Tim (Alex Paxton-Beesley and Russell Sams), who also have some baggage they need help with. Thankfully for them, Luke and Lomax are their agents.

With some keen BS detection about why the couple have moved A LOT and a research assist from Tag, Lomax learns the truth behind their spectral interloper. And it’s going to take the most Ghostbustery-thing Augie has in his lab to help dispatch it. Separately for Tag, he finds a sense of belonging that has presumably long eluded him and shares with Susan how much being part of Roman/Ireland means to him, which makes for a couple of very sweet scenes between Sarah Levy and Alex Ozerov-Meyer.

Also this week, Tyler returns with a dangerous vengeance after Susan’s come to Jesus with Luke last week makes him walk back their proposed deal. To say he does not handle it well is an understatement, but he doesn’t take that anger out on Luke. And Susan dips a toe back into the dating pool with her friendly neighborhood fireman.
