Hallmark continues its wedding fever with A Country Wedding, starring Autumn Reeser, who last appeared on the network in I Do, I Do, I Do, and is currently on TV in ABC’s The Whispers. Here, she starts opposite Dallas‘s Jesse Metcalfe and two familiar faces for Hallmark fans–Lauren Holly and a platinum blonde Laura Mennell.
Here’s what to expect: Before his wedding to his movie star fiancé (Mennell), country music sensation Bradley Suttons (Metcalfe) must visit his rural hometown to sell his family’s former house. While there, he reconnects with Sarah (Reeser), an old friend he gave his late mother’s ring to during their make-believe childhood wedding. The longer Bradley stays in the place he once called home, the closer he grows to both Sarah and the man he once was.
Anne Wheeler (whose last film for Hallmark was 2014’s The Color of Rain, and who has been busy lately helming shows like Reign, Strange Empire, and Hallmark Channel’s When Calls the Heart) directs a script by Nancey Silvers (I Do, I Do, I Do, The Nine Lives of Christmas, and The Color of Rain).
A Country Wedding premieres at 9/8c Saturday on Hallmark after a day of wedding movies. Here’s a sneak peek.
