Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele popped their metaphorical cherry at Comic-Con last year. Best known for their unique brand of improv, celebrity impressions and original characters, I couldn’t wait to meet these two in person. Add in series director Paul Atencio and it made for a mostly hilarious, sometimes serious and ultimately lively discussion.

Series synopsis, from Comedy Central: Entering its 4th season, Key & Peele, which has become a true multiplatform phenomenon and boasts over 560 million streams across multiple digital platforms. Some of their most memorable creations includes “Obama and Luther,” “The Valet Guys,” “Meegan and Andre,” “Karim and Jahar,” “Wendell and Carlos,” “Mr. Garvey, the Substitute Teacher” and the players from the annual “East/West College Bowl.” The show utilizes a combination of filmed sketches and live stage segments to examine life in a provocative and irreverent way, from two men used to being on the outside looking in. Whether it’s satirizing the President, spoofing musical acts, or taking on religion, “Key & Peele” showcases their chemistry, camaraderie and unique point of view, born from their shared background and experiences growing up biracial in a not quite post-racial world.

Key & Peele returns for season 4 Wednesday, September 24th at 10:30/9:30c Comedy Central.
