After filling our heads with sugar plums for close to two months, Hallmark Channel is switching gears. Their newest movie is a romantic comedy confection called Nearlyweds, about three friends who find out their weddings have been undone by a clerical error and now have the opportunity to re-evaluate whether their marriages were a good idea in the first place. The cast is full of familiar faces, many of them Canadian (since it was shot in Vancouver, British Columbia).
The nearlybrides are Danielle Panabaker (pick something), Jessica Parker Kennedy (from The Secret Circle), and Britt Irvin (who played Stargirl on Smallville). The nearlygrooms are Ryan Kennedy (from Hellcats), Travis Milne (from Rookie Blue), and Steve Bacic (from a long list of Canadian-filmed projects). Also along to throw a wrench in things is Naomi Judd as Panabaker’s character’s nearly mother-in-law.
Nearlyweds premieres tonight on Hallmark Channel at 9/8c and repeats immediately afterward and throughout the month.
