Damn, y’all. It would seem we had a little premature elation, because news today is that AMC has (temporarily) rescinded its renewal in the wake of the decision of showrunner John Shiban (The X-Files, The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural) not to go forward with the show.
They’re not unrenewing it, but they are making the replacement showrunner decision somewhat of a contigency of a formal re-renewal (got that)? This follows the announcement that the creators, brothers Joe and Tony Gayton, would also step down. No word yet from Anson Mount on Twitter but it’s a disappointing turn of events. We’ll keep you posted.
