[Warning: Spoilers ahead!]
Hey there, FROMily! How’s your summer?
The cast and creative team of FROM just made their Comic-Con debut this afternoon, and those of us at home are reaping the benefits. They dropped new key art, a first extended look at what we’ll see in Season 3, and a premiere date — September 22nd!
If you follow the gang on IG, then you know that the post-strike winter timing to get back to work had a big impact on the shoot because of an actual blizzard (or two), so the industrious crew worked with what they had. That mysterious changing of the seasons that started at the end of Season 2 continues, with the trailer revealing the town with no name has progressed to the thick of winter.
Here’s what we know: In the wake of Season 2’s epic cliffhanger, escape will become a tantalizing and very real possibility as the true nature of the town comes into focus, and the townspeople go on offense against the myriad horrors surrounding them.
And we’re getting two new cast members: Robert Joy (CSI: NY) will play Henry, a curmudgeon to whom the years have not been kind, while Samantha Brown (Y: The Last Man) will play Acosta, a new-to-the-force police officer who is in over her head.
So, what do we learn in the trailer?
- Things are still scary as hell, and it’s escalating.
- They lose someone who’s important enough to get a funeral in the church.
- The things in the woods have moved on to animals (not a fan of this development).
- Boyd and Donna can still lean on each other when the world’s on fire — which it seems to be.
- Kenny’s out of uniform but still carrying a sidearm.
- Victor is searching for another possible Hail Mary.
- Tabitha is definitely not in Kansas anymore, and her body is rebelling against the change.
