Synopsis for “A Time to Punch”: Cam and M-Chuck have always fought like brothers. But media fallout and scrutiny from a DA making a point about domestic abuse takes them by surprise. Uncle Julius battles with a neighbor whose dog does his business on the Calloway driveway.

Guest Star Goodness

Tamara Tunie (Law & Order: SVU, As the World Turns) plays the district attorney who turns what goes on between Cam and M-Chuck into her cause du jour. This means trouble for our favorite bro/sis combo.

Meanwhile, Spencer Garrett (Aquarius, Sastisfaction) shows up in his first episode as Clay Beckwith. TV Goodness exclusively chatted with the actor who described Clay as a “a fixer. He’s the guy that they bring in when the going gets tough and they need somebody to tweak a little legal problem. He comes in and he’s sort of big and round and he’s got a big southern accent. And he comes in and he kind of waves his big southern magic wand and he makes everything go away.”

Beckwith is someone the Calloways should be thankful is on their side. “He loves these guys. He loves the main characters on the show. And he’ll do anything to help them out. But he’s also a little exasperated by them because they’re always getting into trouble and they bring in Clay to help get them out of a jam from time to time. So he rolls his eyes a lot — and he’s like, ‘Oh my God, these guys again.’ But Clay is also the guy you want to call at three in the morning when you’re in jail. Cause he’ll show up in a nice, crisp suit and he’ll talk to the bailiff and he’ll talk to the judge and he’ll get you out of jail. Don’t cry when you see my bill.”

Garrett couldn’t be happier he’s part of Survivor’s Remorse. “I love [EP/Creator] Mike O’Malley — he’s an old pal. And he runs a great show. He’s just a terrific producer and he writes a lot of the episodes and he’s just a great captain of that ship. And I’ve been a fan of his as an actor and a comic and a writer for such a long time. He has the perfect sensibility to run a show like that. He’s just a great champion of everyone on the show. Loves the actors and it’s just a really fun, infectious set to be around. I’ve been on a lot of unhappy sets. This is probably the happiest set I’ve ever been on.”

Look for Garrett to make one more appearance later this season.
