[Warning: General spoilers ahead.]

Hallmark and Debbie Macomber keep their successful partnership going Saturday night with the fourth holiday film based on one of Macomber’s novels. Mr. Miracle follows two installments of Mrs. Miracle starring Doris Roberts and Trading Christmas–with Gil Bellows, Faith Ford, Gabrielle Miller, and The Flash’s Tom Cavanagh–which I adore. All running now on Hallmark Channel as part of the Countdown to Christmas. I should also add that Hallmark Channel’s series, Cedar Cove, is based on a Macomber book, as well.

Rob Morrow headlines as Harry Mills, an angel-in-training assigned to help a young college student, Addie Folsom (Britt Irvin), get her life back on track after the death of her father–with Christmas as the deadline. Sarah-Jane Redmond (fabulous actress you will know from several Canadian-shot projects), Michelle Harrison (The Flash/Continuum), Ingrid Kavelaars (XIII the Series), and Andrew Francis (who’s done a ton of voiceover work) co-star.

I love Morrow getting to play this role–he’s childlike and wondrous, which I don’t think we’ve ever seen him do. Irvin is a familiar face for Hallmark viewers–she was one of the brides in Nearylweds, and she was the daughter who hatched a plan to reunited her estranged parents in Personally Yours, a favorite of mine which originally aired on CBS but now rotates on Hallmark Channel. It’s a lovely, sweet film that’s great for the family and the holidays.
