Previewing SurrealEstate: “White Wedding”

[Warning: General spoilers ahead.]

This week, on the penultimate episode of SurrealEstate‘s first season, Susan multi-tasks as a bride-to-be’s maid of honor, a real estate agent scouting a killer property, and a gifted real estate agent scouting an actual would-be killer.

When her childhood friend, Priya (Supinder Wraich), finds her impending nuptials to Leon (Romaine Waite) to be in jeopardy at every turn, she calls in reinforcements to help suss out who, or what, is so hell-bent on keeping the happy couple from the altar.

The potential culprits include Priya’s late father or Leon’s still living but dwelling on the fringes of a waning memory, Aunt Ruby (Darlene Cooke), who senses something is off but can’t quite articulate the what of it.

There’s a little bit of supernatural collusion as Priya’s family is aware of Susan’s gifts, which makes them both more receptive to and suspicious of the otherworldly nefariousness that the Roman Agency suggests. When the threats start following Priya off the grounds of the family estate, they have to broaden their search beyond the property.

Separately, the rest of the Roman Agency is subcontracted by Luke’s frenemy, Rita, to clear stigmatized properties. That makes for a fun series of scenes as they knock out a handful of boogedies. And Megan finally gets into her new digs and out of her own stigmatized property, but not before she has a word with Mama Roman and shares a sweet moment with Gus.
