I have missed Peyton something fierce. I know she didn’t technically go anywhere, but if you’ve been paying attention you know she hasn’t been in the last 5 episodes. Yep, you read that right. So I was so excited to talk to Aly Michalka, the rest of the cast and the EPs about what to expect in this week’s “Pour Some Sugar, Zombie” and for the rest of this season.

Episode Description, from The CW:

Liv consumes the brain of a recently murdered stripper and uncovers some extremely useful information. Meanwhile, Blaine isn’t quite himself lately, and Ravi makes a startling discovery. Lastly, Major and Ravi are helping Peyton move back in with Liv when she receives a surprising phone call.

WonderCon is always fun for me because it’s a smaller, more laid-back version of Comic Con. A lot of great shows participate and as a fan or as press, you get amazing access to your favorite stars and behind-the-scenes talent. This year the iZombie cast and EPs talked about the fun of Liv being on a stripper’s brain in this week’s episode, teased upcoming guest stars, gave us some great character insights and previewed what to expect in the Season 2 finale.

Rose McIver on not having to do the zombie makeup in the last episode, her favorite brain to be on, what to expect in this week’s episode including the return of Peyton, and her future with both Drake and Major:

Malcolm Goodwin on dealing with Liv’s strangeness, how Clive will react when he finds out Liv’s a zombie, on spending some time with Clive outside the police station and what to expect in the S2 finale:

Robert Buckley on Minor, upcoming guest stars including the musician Rob Thomas, what’s coming up for his character, working with Steven Weber and more on Drake:

David Anders on what’s coming with the “cure,” what’s behind Blaine’s ambition, being buried alive in the last episode, what’s coming up with the Ravi/Peyton/Blaine triangle, what’s next for his character, puns and if there will be more singing:

Rahul Kohli on Ravi’s Star Wars references, working with the New Hopes, what to expect with Ravi’s love life, what’s next with the “cure,” his favorite version of Liv so far and working with this cast:

Aly Michalka on what brings Peyton back to Liv’s, what’s next in the Ravi/Peyton/Blaine triangle, working with Ken Marino, being in the know about the zombie problem and Peyton’s reaction to Liv on stripper brain:

EP Rob Thomas on upcoming guest stars, which stories will come to a head in the season finale and more about the “cure”:

EP Diane Ruggiero-Wright on the season finale, what they couldn’t get to this season, upcoming brains for Liv, the fun of writing certain characters, (but not Ken Marino) and how Rose is magic:

iZombie airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on The CW.
