Hell on Wheels has never shied away from stunts (they dropped a train through an icy lake, you’ll recall), and in “Mei Mei,” they go one better with a snowy mountain. That’s all I’ll say, because it is a proper nailbiter. We also get a concurrent arc with the Swede and his band of brothers who are in way over their heads.
Here’s what to expect: Cullen enlists a crew of Chinese workers to help him move a locomotive from Truckee to the Summit Tunnel on a sled. An accident forces Cullen and Fong to work together to survive. Swede and Phineas fight for survival after Cullen banishes them to the high country on snow-shoveling patrol.
