As the tandem Hollywood strikes roll on deep into summer, the trickle-down effect on sites like ours is that there’s a hiatus on talent being able to do press or discuss their projects on social media, which means we’ve pressed pause on doing new interviews for the series and films we cover. We can, however, still shine a light on the hard work folks have done by previewing their projects.
First up, Hallmarkies have an August chock full of new content with films premiering every week this month – and this Sunday the Hearties are getting the landmark 100th episode of When Calls the Heart! Here’s a rundown of all the original shows and movies coming your way on Hallmark Channel (HC) and Hallmark Movies and Mysteries. Note that each of the premieres will also stream live on Peacock in the U.S., and the Hallmark Channel titles will premiere the same date and time on W Network in Canada.
Making Waves | Saturday, August 5 | 8 pm/7c (HC)
Starring: Holland Roden, Corey Cott

Music executive Amelia (Roden) goes to a festival on the Outer Banks of North Carolina to beat out the competition for an elusive new band and discovers that the group is fronted by Will (Cott), her childhood summer sweetheart. Over the course of the week, as Amelia tries to convince Will that her company is the better choice for his musical vision, she realizes there might be a conflict of interest…her feelings for him.
When Calls the Heart | Every Sunday in August | 9 pm/8c (HC)
Look for new episodes of Season 10 every Sunday, starting with “Hope Springs Eternal,” the 100th episode of the series finds the new hot spring is the hot topic around Hope Valley while Elizabeth and Lucas host a visiting Aunt Agatha (Karin Konoval) and Julie (Charlotte Hegele). She connects with her Mexican roots and with her 30th birthday approaching and Javi’s encouragements, she decides to celebrate with a “double quinceañera.”

The newest title in the Hallmark Mahogany series, the film follows Cassandra (Boutté), a high-powered attorney who inherits her estranged grandmother’s winery in Napa Valley and takes a sabbatical to renovate the property that was the source of the fractures within her family. With the help of Alec (Lawrence), she learns more about the grandmother she hardly knew and is able to reconcile the past, while finally opening herself up to love.
