A sign 2023 is moving quickly? It’s June, which means it’s already time for Hallmark to send its latest slate of wedding-themed movies down the (TV) aisle.
First up on Saturday is a movie that could be called Three Weddings and One Commitment-Phobic Bridesmaid. Wedding Season stars Shadowhunters’ Stephanie Bennett and In the Dark’s Casey Deidrick.

Bennett plays Trish, a woman so popular, she’s a bridesmaid for three of her childhood besties whose weddings fall on back-to-back weekends. Hopefully the wannabe journalist / assistant makes a good salary to pay for all those dresses. Lucky her editor boss assigns her a feature covering this sure-to-be overwhelming experience times three. While this opportunity has “big break” written all over it, she’ll need to get over her seriously cynical take on weddings to complete this important life-changing task.

Deidrick’s character is named Ryan, the brother of Trish’s best friend. He’s a photographer who’s constantly lugging his camera equipment and suitcase around the world for work. Translation: It doesn’t seem like he’s the type to settle down anytime soon. Especially when on the horizon is a dream assignment that’ll have him packing and jetting off faster than you can say “I do.”

When Trish and Ryan end up as each other’s plus one for the wedding-palooza, the jaded journalist and the motorcycle-riding photographer attempt to swerve past potential disasters, nagging doubts and relationship don’ts.
