Start your Valentine’s Day weekend in Paris Saturday night with Hallmark Channel’s next Loveuary premiere, A Paris Proposal, starring Alexa PenaVega and Nicholas Bishop, written by Andrea Canning, and directed by Jessica Harmon.
PenaVega and Bishop play Anna and Sebastian, fractious advertising colleagues sent to Paris to land the Durand Diamonds US account. She’s all stats and proof points and he’s all passion and “go with it.” When their boss teams them up, they have to learn to balance their working styles, and then eventually their personal styles when the Durands, who are longtime friends of Sebastian’s family, are misled into thinking the pair are married.
What begins as a mistake soon takes on a life of its own as they spend time together on and off the clock once the ruse lands them in a very posh honeymoon suite. Anna’s initially eager to come clean and then realizes the lie can help them land the account, Sebastian reconnect with his estranged family, and maybe help her heal her heart after her last Parisian romance ended in divorce.
The movie was partially filmed in and around Paris and makes good use of the locations–and the fashion and food. If you’re looking for a sweet romcom and a vicarious European getaway this Valentine’s, Hallmark has you covered.
A Paris Proposal premieres Saturday at 8 pm/7c on Hallmark Channel and Peacock in the US and on W Network in Canada.
