It’s time to take out the tissues and get ready for an emotional rollercoaster ride. Dancing with the Stars serves up its highly anticipated “Most Memorable Year” week.

There were tears of sadness and tears of joy. Most of all, there was spectacular dancing. Everyone left it out on the dance floor. But, unlike last week, someone was sent home.
Let’s break it all down:
Frankie Muniz and Witney Carson
Dance: Quickstep
Year: 2017
Phone Number: 800-868-3405

Frankie Muniz chooses to live in the present. Not only was he in a major car accident, he has had several concussions and has since lost a lot of memories. Learning this made me instantly concerned he might have trouble with the steps in the dance but he didn’t miss a beat. It was a very sweet performance. Frankie makes me fall in love with him a little bit more every week.
Score: Carrie Ann-8, Len-8, Bruno-8; Total: 24
Terrell Owens and Cheryl Burke
Dance: 2012
Year: Viennese Waltz
Phone Number: 800-868-3411

Terrell wanted to celebrate the woman who supported him, his grandmother, who passed away in 2012. His routine was poised, elegance and his tecnique was solid. On top of that, you felt the pain of his losing his grandmother and how much he missed her. I think it’s the only time I’ve ever seen Terrell Owens vulnerable. It was a good look on him.
Score: Carrie Ann-8, Len-8, Bruno-8; Total: 24
Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev
Dance: Contemporary
Year: 2016
Phone Number: 800-868-3409

2016 was the year that Nikki made her comeback to the WWE ring. She had been struggling with a lot of pain and found out that her neck was about to be broken and could result in being paralyzed. But with determination, she worked really hard to make it back. She really showed her emotions. The only issue I saw, was she almost didn’t make her lifts. But this was strong and dynamic and it showed a much softer side to Nikki.
Score: Carrie Ann-8, Len-8, Bruno-8; Total: 24
Nick Lachey and Peta Murgatroyd
Dance: 2011
Year: Contemporary
Phone Number: 800-868-3408

Nick did this dance for his wife, Vanessa. The year he married her it finally gave him what he wanted and they started their family. This was a dance full of emotion. He danced well except he was a little unstable when he grabbed Peta. He has had these balance issues in other dances. Besides that the performance was nicely done.
Score: Carrie Ann-8, Len-7, Bruno-7; Total: 22
Lindsey Stirling and Mark Ballas
Dance: Viennese Waltz
Year: 2016
Phone Number: 800-868-3407

Lindsey Stirling performed for her dad who passed away from cancer. She was extremely close to her father. Once again Mark choreographed a beautiful dance. It was such a beautiful routine that you felt her dad was in the room. Len said he wanted a bit more Viennese Waltz but he still loved it.
Score: Carrie Ann-9, Len-8, Bruno-9; Total: 26
Derek Fisher and Sharna Burgess
Dance: Jazz
Year: 2007
Phone Number: 800-868-3403

This was the year that Derek Fisher’s daughter was diagnosed with a rare eye cancer, Retinoblastoma, and he had to decide what to do. He walked away from his contract with the Utah Jazz so he could help care for her. Even though it was a sad memory it was an upbeat dance and a celebration of his daughter. She seemed overwhelmed when the camera was on her. This dance I actually saw jazz moves. A lot of times with jazz dances you can keep the choreography open to interpretation.
Score: Carrie Ann-7, Len-8, Bruno-8; Total: 23
Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold
Dance: Contemporary
Year: 2005
Phone Number: 800-868-3406

2005 was the year Jordan Fisher was officially adopted by his grandparents. They would always be mom and dad to him.

Unsurprisingly, this was a magnificent dance. I agree with Bruno that he danced with open heart. It was pure love and gratitude. Jordan is such a joy to watch, but it should have been a perfect 30! Come on Len!
Score: Carrie Ann-10, Len-9, Bruno-10; Total: 29
Sasha Pieterse and Gleb Savchenko
Dance: Foxtrot
Year: 2016
Phone Number: 800-868-3410

This is the year that she ended the show, Pretty Little Liars. This was the show she grew up on and it was coming to an end. It was also the year she got engaged. She was struggling with her health as well but it was about change. Sasha does have grace and charm. She used the floor and space. She seems to be improving little by little.
Score: Carrie Ann-8, Len-8, Bruno-8; Total: 24
Vanessa Lachey and Maksim Chmerkovskiy
Dance: Rumba
Year: 2017
Phone Number: 800-868-3412
The is the year Vanessa’s family with Nick was complete. They had a third son, and he was premature. But the little guy fought and he is healthy and the whole family is happy.

Rumba is more of a sexy dance, but I felt the intimacy was the love she felt not only for her husband, but her children as well. There were rumors flying around that Maks and her weren’t getting along but it seemed like things went well. I think the birth of Maks’ son has changed him in a positive way.
Score: Carrie Ann-8, Len-8, Bruno-8; Total: 24
Drew Scott and Emma Slater
Dance: Jive
Year: 2007
Phone Number: 800-868-3404
Drew had a successful real estate business with his twin brother but he decided he wanted to be an actor. He did get some work but this was the year that being an actor didn’t pan out. This setback also created the idea that he and his brother could combine TV and real estate. They eventually created Property Bros.

Drew is one that I didn’t know if he was going to do well. He keeps surprising everyone. In fact, this week, Drew and Emma had a special guest join them for part of the dance: Jonathan, Drew’s twin! And I have to say kudos to Jonathan for keeping up!
Score: Carrie Ann-8, Len-8, Bruno-8; Total: 24
Victoria Arlen and Val Chmerkovskiy
Dance: Foxtrot
Year: This was for the journey of her illness and recovery, so no specific year.
Phone Number: 800-868-3413

Victoria was told she was going to die and then she was a vegetable and couldn’t walk. But, somehow, she found the strength to come back. She was in a wheelchair for many years but she made it.

If you didn’t know the story of what Victoria has been through, no one would be the wiser. She is a true inspiration. And really showed how far she has come.
Score: Carrie Ann-9, Len-9, Bruno-9; Total: 27
Even though everyone did well, an elimination was going to happen.

The first couple that was told they were in jeopardy was Nick & Peta. The second couple in jeopardy was Derek & Sharna. Everyone else was safe.
It came down to Nick & Peta and Derek & Sharna.

Unfortunately, the next couple to go: Derek & Sharna.

Did the right couple go home? I’m not sure this week. I think it’s just going to get harder since everyone seems to be in the same league. Next week is an all-new Disney night! Remember you have to vote. See you next week.
Dancing with the Stars is on Monday nights at 8/7c on ABC.

3 Moments of Goodness from Brooklyn Nine-Nine “Johnny and Dora”
