Next, on a new Fargo, the action returns to Minnesota as Gloria finds herself in St. Cloud and ever closer to linking her crime to the brothers.
She gets an unlikely assist from Winnie Lopez (Olivia Sandoval), a St. Cloud police officer who gets the same peculiar vibe off the Stussys and decides to compare notes. Sidebar: Gloria’s running joke about being seemingly invisible to automated appliances continues and extends to her meet-strange with Winnie.
The brothers have their own dramas to sort through when Emmit gets an unwelcome after-hours visit from V.M. and Ray’s decision to start his day with a robbery ends even worse when his romantic life catches up to him at work, leaving Nikki to handle a potential bridge backer on her own.
We also get a little more insight into Varga’s peculiarities and control issues, which cement that yes, he’s a scary guy, and it’s probably way too late for Emmit and Sy to extricate themselves without personal or professional damage.
