This is the week of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars that tissues are needed. It’s when the celebs dance to a song from their Most Memorable Year. This theme usually produces some interesting stories. Honestly, I hate when people cry on reality shows but sometimes there is an exception. This is one of those exceptions.
Unfortunately, at the end of the show, another couple was eliminated. But first let’s see how everyone did and how much they cried:
Normani Kordei and Valentin Chmerkovskiy
Dance: Rumba
Phone Number: 1-800-868-3410
Most Memorable Year: 2012
Normani’s most memorable year is when she joined her group, Fifth Harmony. She started out singing and then the rest of the members of her group took over for the rest of the song. This left Kordei with one purpose: to dance beautifully. She and Val clearly share a connection.

Normani has been great from the beginning but this routine gave her the opportunity to be more vulnerable. The girl travels all over the world and in each location she fits in rehearsal time. It’s an exhausting schedule yet she manages to get better every week. That’s just nutty! It seems to work for her.
Score: Carrie Ann-8, Len-7, Julianne-8, Bruno-9; Total: 32
Nick Viall and Peta Murgatroyd
Dance: Rumba
Phone Number: 1-800-868-3409
Most Memorable Year: 2016

Nick’s Most Memorable Year was the last year and how he finally found love on The Bachelor with Vanessa. (I mean the guy tried three times before that but I guess fourth time is the charm?) He looked very confident and really is getting better each week.

They even added a touch of The Bachelor and ended the dance with his fiancée’ in his arms and kissing. I guess there was a malfunction with her dress? If he keeps this up he will continue to go upward. Hopefully William Shatner has given up his quest to get rid of Nick. (I don’t get it either.)
Score: Carrie Ann-8, Len-7, Julianne-8, Bruno-7; Total: 30
Nancy Kerrigan and Artem Chigvintsev
Dance: Foxtrot
Phone Number: 1-800-868-3408
Most Memorable Year: 1996

Nancy and Artem’s dance was one of the most graceful and heartbreaking Foxtrots I have ever seen. Nancy talked about having six miscarriages after her first child was born. Nancy felt she was a failure somehow. She had always wanted three kids and she never gave up until she got her wish. I think this is definitely her best dance. It had fluidity and strength to it.
Score: Carrie Ann-8, Len-9, Julianne-8, Bruno-8; Total: 33
Mr. T and Kym Johnson
Dance: Waltz
Phone Number: 1-800-868-3407
Most Memorable Year: 1995

Mr. T’s Most Memorable Year has to do with his cancer and how he felt God helped him survive it. The waltz was lovely, but to me, on a dancing level, Kym was doing most of the work. Having said that, I felt Mr. T’s vulnerability and humble spirit was felt throughout the ballroom.
Score: Carrie Ann-7, Len-7, Julianne-7, Bruno-7; Total: 28
Heather Morris and Maksim Chmerkovskiy (Alan Bersten)
Dance: Cha Cha
Phone Number: 1-800-868-3406
Most Memorable Year: 2015

Heather’s Most Memorable Year was when she got married. It was an uplifting dance which was perfect because so many of the others had a touch of sadness. Maks is still recovering from surgery leaving Alan to partner up with her again. I think their Cha Cha was an amazing and fun dance. Morris has improved even though she was already a dancer! I thought her scores should have been higher.
Score: Carrie Ann-8, Len-9, Julianne-9, Bruno-9; Total: 35
David Ross and Lindsay Arnold
Dance: Viennese Waltz
Phone Number: 1-800-868-3404
Most Memorable Year: 2016

David’s Most Memorable Year was 2016 because that’s when he played his last professional baseball game. Not only did his team win the World Series for the first time in 108 years, he helped make that big win happen with a Game 7 home run. He and Lindsay performed a nice dance that was dedicated to his fellow Cubs and family. I saw some improvement. I think he rushed a little bit but it’s something to work on.
Score: Carrie Ann-7, Len-8, Julianne-8, Bruno-8; Total: 31
Rashad Jennings and Emma Slater
Dance: Contemporary
Phone Number: 1-800-868-3408
Most Memorable Year: 2006

Rashad had a hard time with his dad growing up. Then as his life was about to give him the beginning of his dreams, his Dad had a stroke. He decided to be with his family and then everything changed for the better.

The dance told a story with a lot of emotion. At the end of the dance, Rashad’s father was in the audience and he went and hugged him tightly and everyone cried! This is a real man! And the got the first 10s of the season. I don’t know if the 10s should have happened but who am I to judge. (Ha, Ha)
Score: Carrie Ann- 10, Len-9, Julianne-10, Bruno-10; Total: 39
Erika Jayne and Gleb Savchenko
Dance: Cha Cha
Phone Number: 1-800-868-3405
Most Memorable Year: 1989

Erika’s most memorable is when she moved to New York and was first on her own. I didn’t love this dance. But she is a performer and I think she could be so much better. She is fierce as Julianne said. Erika has to keep improving if she wants to stick around. I’m a little worried for her.
Score: Carrie Ann-8, Len-7, Julianne-7, Bruno-8; Total: 30
Simone Biles and Sasha Farber
Dance: Viennese Waltz
Phone Number: 1-800-868-3412
Most Memorable Year: 2000

Simone was adopted so she chose that year as her most memorable. She cried through the whole dance and after she hugged her parents. I agree with Len. It is her best dance so far. I admit it. I cried too. I also don’t understand how she didn’t get any 10s. It was seamless.
Score: Carrie Ann-9, Len-9, Julianne-9, Bruno-9; Total: 36
Bonner Bolton and Sharna Burgess
Dance: Foxtrot
Phone Number: 1-800-868-3401
Most Memorable Year: 2016

In January of last year, Bonner had an accident that almost killed him. He was the number one bull rider in the country and fell and was trampled by the bull. For a guy that was paralyzed, Bonner has come a long way. He needs to keep working on his footwork but he was a lot better than last week. (FYI DWTS, we didn’t need to see the staples in his neck in the video package.)
Score: Carrie Ann-8, Len-8, Julianne-8, Bruno-8; Total: 32
The Elimination
Then first couple that was in jeopardy: Mr. T & Kym. The other couple that was in jeopardy: Erika & Gleb. The rest of the couples were safe.

Saying goodbye and leaving the dance floor: Mr. T & Kym Johnson. At least he went out on a high note. He is an inspiration and I think he was glad to be there.

What They Said: Top 4 Quotable Moments from Black Sails “XXIII”

3 Moments of Goodness from Brooklyn Nine-Nine “Johnny and Dora”
