The Catch is back and we at TV Goodness could not be more thrilled!
We fell in love with this show in Season 1 and after watching the second season premiere. We can tell you that the twists, turns and cast of compelling characters are better than ever!
Last season left off with Ben/Christopher turning himself in to the FBI in order to save Alice when she was arrested for the stolen painting (aka the “I love you, it was all real” gift from Ben/Christopher) on her wall.
Season 2 picks up right where the show left off, with Ben in prison, Margot taking up charge of the Kensington firm and Alice in full swoon mode after realizing Ben’s love is real.
But don’t let that glass between the two of them fool you, the chemistry between Ben and Alice is still as dynamic in prison as it was in the first season.
In addition to all our old favorites, Gina Torres (fresh off USA’s legal-drama and another TV Goodness favorite, Suits) and T.R. Knight (Grey’s Anatomy) join the cast.
Without giving too much away, we will say that the Season 2 premiere is full of romance, blood and at least one potential alliance that we didn’t see coming.
Official Synopsis for “The New Deal”
Con man Benjamin Jones has gone from committing the ultimate betrayal to performing the ultimate sacrifice, when he turned himself in to the FBI to save Alice from wrongful imprisonment. Now in jail, Ben is forced to reckon with his criminal past, while the team at Anderson Vaughan Investigations must come to terms with getting in bed with the bad guys. How will Alice and Ben game the system — and each other — to stay together and overcome their less-than-legal pasts?
The Catch starring Mireille Enos and Peter Krause returns to ABC on Thursday, Mar. 9 at 10/9c.
