While most of the Girls cast received ample airtime during last week’s episode, this week, it’s all about two characters in one setting: Hannah Horvath and an author she’s long admired and respected.

Those feelings of admiration and respect have gone by the wayside, however. You see, he asks for a one-on-one meeting after she’s written about his less than appropriate behavior.

Hannah (Lena Dunham) has a tense tête-à-tête with Chuck Palmer (Matthew Rhys) – an acclaimed author she once greatly admired – about the disturbing allegations swirling around him. Written by Lena Dunham; directed by Richard Shepherd.

The conversation between Hannah and novelist Chuck Palmer all takes place at his place of residence. It’s often tense and uncomfortable, while at the same time challenges some of Hannah’s beliefs. The question becomes should Hannah truly believe what she’s hearing? As for Palmer, we get to know a lot about his life in a little amount of time. But does that mean we should all buy into what he’s saying?

Playing Chuck Palmer is none other than Matthew Rhys, who currently stars opposite Keri Russell on FX’s critically acclaimed series, The Americans. Of course, he’s also known for being part of the Walker family on Brothers and Sisters.

Remember when Girls devoted an entire 1/2 hour to Hannah’s interactions with Patrick Wilson’s Joshua back in the second season? “One Man’s Trash” ended up being a bit of a controversial episode. This might be one as well, but for other reasons. We’re curious to see how everyone reacts to “American Bitch.”

Girls airs Sunday nights at 10/9c on HBO.
