Quick Takes: Nathan Fillion T-Shirt Campaign For Charity

If you’re a Nathan Fillion fan chances are you adored him as the fun, quirky detective Rick Castle on ABC’s Castle. Or as the supercool Mal Reynolds on Firefly and its big screen sequel, Serenity. Or even his smugalicious superhero Captain Hammer from Doctor Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog.”

Fillion is taking part in a t-shirt campaign that celebrates his career by spotlighting six of the roles he’s famous for (no Caleb, sorry Buffy fans), including Dogberry from the Joss Whedon version of Much Ado About Nothing.

The campaign is being done in conjunction with Creation Stands. There are only a few days left to get in on the action. What’s great about this: it’s all for charity. It benefits the Zimmerman Children’s Museum in Los Angeles.

“It’s brilliant that Creation Stands make it so easy for people to stand behind their fandom, and stand for a good cause at the same time,” said Nathan Fillion. “Best of all, I’m giving 100% of my proceeds to the Zimmer Children’s Museum. It’s a great local nonprofit, with programs that not only teach community values but that also helps students, empowering them with self-expression and leadership skills.”

The “Take Your Pick” t-shirt costs $25. For more information or to purchase a t-shirt, visit www.creationstands.com. The campaign ends November 28.
