Get ready for more groundbreaking goodness. Amazon announced it has already renewed Transparent for a fourth season, even though the third season doesn’t drop until later this year.

Fans of the award-winning comedy can bask in the knowledge that there won’t be any major shake-ups with the powerhouse talent on screen as well as behind the scenes. The show’s creator, Jill Soloway, will return along with executive producer Andrea Sperling.

The entire core Pfefferman clan will also be back. This includes Golden Globe and Emmy winner, Jeffrey Tambor (Maura), Judith Light (Shelly), Gaby Hoffman (Ali), Amy Landecker (Sarah), and Jay Duplass (Josh).

In a press release announcing the news, Soloway showed her appreciation for the streaming studio.

“Amazon’s explosive freedom and revolutionary thinking has given birth to this show,” said Soloway. “It’s so much more than TV to us, it’s our version of the most ambitious streaming art we can conjure. We’re having the time of our lives sharing season two for the awards season hoopla, and editing and finishing up season three for a fall release. This news of an order for season four is so so sweet. The Pfeffermans have many more stories to tell and we can’t wait to keep making them.”

Transparent explores what happens after Maura, a transgender woman, comes out to her family. Her kids and her ex-wife not only have to deal with their own feelings about this game-changing decision, but they are going through their own struggles with life and their ability to achieve happiness.

The first two seasons of Transparent can be found on Prime Video. Season 3 debuts this fall.
