[Warning: General spoilers ahead.]

We’re going to watch this one together. I ran out of time to pre-screen tonight’s second part of the two-part premiere, and the last thing I want to do it rush it, so I’ll be watching live right along with you. I’m so, so glad they’re back. What did you think of “My Struggle?” 13 million people watched it live!

I initially thought tonight’s episode was supposed to be a continuation of last night’s premiere, and it may be, but the logline makes me think there’s some MOTW in there, too (yay!). “Founder’s Struggle” was written and directed by James Wong. Here’s what to expect: When a scientist suddenly commits suicide, Mulder and Scully investigate what unseen force may have driven him to it. What they uncover is a laboratory where extreme genetic experimentation has been going on for decades, breeding subjects who possess unexpected and dangerous powers – and who harbor deep resentments.

Look for guest appearances from Doug Savant (Desperate Housewives), Jonathan Whitesell (Once Upon a Time, The 100), Megan Peta Hill (The Magicians), Chris Logan (Alcatraz), Amanda Burke (Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce), and Rebecca Wiscocky (Devious Maids).
