Not only is Week 2 a full two-night extravaganza but it’s also the earliest that DWTS has had the couples learn two dances! It’s crazy! I guess two is the magic number because the other thing that happens this week is…a double elimination! What are they thinking? Anyway, first I tackle night one and then I share my feelings on night two. Here are the couples:
NIGHT ONE
Nick Carter and Sharna Burgess
Dance: Jive
Phone Number: 855-234-5610
- The jive is a difficult dance. Nick did a great job but I saw a couple of minor mistakes. He slipped but kept going. I have a feeling he’s only going to get better. I’m kind of digging this Backstreet Boy.
Score: Carrie Ann-7, Julianne-7, Bruno-7- Total: 21
Paula Deen and Louis van Amstel
Dance: Rumba
Phone Number: 855-234-5611
I thought Paula’s dance was okay but it had a few weird moments. On the positive side, I think she did better then last week.
Score: Carrie Ann-7, Julianne-6, Bruno-6 Total: 19
Hayes Grier and Emma Slater
Dance: Foxtrot
Phone Number: 855-234-5608
- This kid isn’t bad. In fact, I thought he did better than last week. He was really graceful. I am impressed. The kid is a contender.
Score: Carrie Ann-8, Julianne-7, Bruno-7 Total: 22
Chaka Khan and Keo Motsepe
Dance: Foxtrot
Phone Number: 855-234-5606
- She did better this week. Having said that, she still screwed up. I think she gets in her head a little bit. And that can be dangerous.
Score: Carrie Ann-5, Julianne-5, Bruno-5 Total: 15
Andy Grammer and Allison Holker
Dance: Jive
Phone Number: 855-234-5603
- Andy isn’t bad. I think he has lots of potential. I spotted a few minor mistakes but, all in all, his Jive was so much fun.
Score: Carrie Ann-7, Julianne-7, Bruno-7 Total: 21
Kim Zolciak Biermann and Tony Dovolani
Dance: Quickstep
Phone Number: 855-234-5609
- Hey Wig! Awesome job! Quickstep is the hardest dance and Kim did great.
Score: Carrie Ann-7, Julianne-6, Bruno-6 Total: 19
Alek Skarlatos and Lindsay Arnold
Dance: Jazz
Phone Number: 855-234-5601
- A little awkward but there’s something we all have to remember. This guy has no dance ability yet he’s showing us he can do the lifts. Impressive.
Score: Carrie Ann-8, Julianne-7, Bruno-8 Total: 23
Alexa PenaVega and Mark Ballas
Dance: Salsa
Phone Number: 855-234-5602
- Even though she did a really good job, there were a couple of small moments that seemed a tiny bit off. But overall it was a great performance.
Score: Carrie Ann-8, Julianne-8, Bruno-8 Total: 24
Victor Espinoza and Karina Smirnoff
Dance: Jive
Phone Number: 855-234-5613
- Victor tried so hard but didn’t do well. I’m not sure what to say but good try?
Score: Carrie Ann-6, Julianne-5, Bruno-6 Total: 17
Tamar Braxton and Val Chmerkovskiy
Dance: Cha Cha
Phone Number: 855-234-5612
- She is really good. If she keeps up this level of performance, she could go to the end.
Score: Carrie Ann-8, Julianne-8, Bruno-8 Total: 24
Gary Busey and Anna Trebunskaya
Dance: Foxtrot
Phone Number: 855-234-5607
- Gary did okay but he is a bit on the cray, cray side. That being said, he did do better then last week.
Score: Carrie Ann-6, Julianne-6, Bruno-6 Total: 18
Carlos PenaVega and Witney Carson
Dance: Foxtrot
Phone Number: 855-234-5605
- Carlos is definitely giving not only his wife a run for her money but everyone else as well. He should make it to the end the way things are going.
Score: Carrie Ann-8, Julianne-8, Bruno-8 Total: 24
Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough
Dance: Tango
Phone Number: 855-234-5604
- I thought she was great. I think she is the one to beat at this point. She is shocking everyone.
Score: Carrie Ann-9, Julianne-8, Bruno-8 Total: 25

Unfortunately someone has to be the first one to go. Here’s how the elimination broke down: They announced the first couple in jeopardy — Chaka and Keo — and then the second couple in jeopardy — Gary and Anna. Everyone else is safe. The first couple to be eliminated in season 21 is Chaka and Keo. She is a class act. A little sad but someone had to go. I feel bad for Keo because he has not gotten great partners. There is still another elimination and another night of dancing.
NIGHT TWO

The second night…a second dance…and a second elimination! Would the people who didn’t do as well night one redeem themselves? Here’s how the couples did:
Hayes Grier and Emma Slater
Dance: Quickstep
Phone Number: 855-234-5608
- I thought this was great. This kid is growing on me. High energy!
Score: Carrie Ann-8, Julianne-7, Bruno-8- Total: 23
Carlos PenaVega and Witney Carson
Dance: Cha Cha
Phone Number: 855-234-5605
- Another fabulous dance for Carlos! I don’t think he has much to worry about this week.
Score: Carrie Ann-7, Julianne-7, Bruno-7- Total: 21
Gary Busey and Anna Trebunskaya
Dance: Paso Doble
Phone Number: 855-234-5607
- Not a bad dance for Gary. Not enough Paso Doble but entertaining. He is just enjoying himself. Gary is a little scary but fun to watch.
Score: Carrie Ann-5, Julianne-5, Bruno-5- Total: 15
Andy Grammer and Allison Holker
Dance: Contemporary
Phone Number: 855-234-5603
- I think Andy had it together more tonight then the first night. He was graceful and definitely listened to the judges.
Score: Carrie Ann-8, Julianne-8, Bruno-7- Total: 23
Alexa PenaVega and Mark Ballas
Dance: Rumba
Phone Number: 855-234-5602
- Mark is dedicating the dance to his parents. They were world champion dancers. It was a nice thing for Mark to do. I thought it was a beautiful dance and they did it well.
Score: Carrie Ann-7, Julianne-7, Bruno-8- Total: 22
Paula Deen and Louis van Amstel
Dance: Tango
Phone Number: 855-234-5611
- There was something off with Paula. I thought she got the footwork right but then there were a few mistakes. However, I think she will go for a few more weeks.
Score: Carrie Ann-6, Julianne-6, Bruno-6- Total: 18
Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough
Dance: Waltz
Phone Number: 855-234-5604
- I thought it was a beautiful dance. Bindi really is an amazing kid. She’s such a natural performer. Derek is his usual amazing self.
Score: Carrie Ann-7, Julianne-8, Bruno-8- Total: 23
Kim Zolciak Biermann and Tony Dovolani
Dance: Foxtrot
Phone Number: 855-234-5609
- While Kim definitely has stepped up her game this week, her dance was a little boring.
Score: Carrie Ann-6 Julianne-6, Bruno-6- Total: 18
Alek Skarlatos and Lindsay Arnold
Dance: Quickstep
Phone Number: 855-234-5601
- I have to say he is impressive. This guy can stop a madman with his buddies and he looks comfortable on the dance floor, for the most part. He did make a few errors but the guy has never danced before. It’s what this show is all about.
Score: Carrie Ann-7, Julianne-7, Bruno-8- Total: 22
Victor Espinoza and Karina Smirnoff
Dance: Rumba
Phone Number: 855-234-5613
- This is Victor’s best dance so far.
Score: Carrie Ann-7 Julianne-6, Bruno-7- Total: 20
Nick Carter and Sharna Burgess
Dance: Foxtrot
Phone Number: 855-234-5610,
- Nick redeemed himself from his fall on last night’s show. He’s back to being a contender. This Foxtrot was a beautiful dance.
Score: Carrie Ann-8, Julianne-8, Bruno-8- Total: 24
Tamar Braxton and Val Chmerkovskiy
Dance: Charleston
Phone Number: 855-234-5612
- Tamar is impressive! I love that she puts her attitude in the dance and looks like she is having the time of her life.
Score: Carrie Ann-8, Julianne-8, Bruno-9- Total: 25

Another elimination had to happen. The first couple in jeopardy is Gary and Anna. Joining them in the bottom is Victor and Karina. The rest of the couples are safe. The couple leaving is Victor and Karina. You know what? At least Victor ended on a good note. More power to him.
