Question for all you Suits fans. How painful was this latest hiatus?
For those of you playing the home game, it was hella painful…emphasis on hell. That’s because the Season 4 finale cliffhanger dealt a devastating blow: Donna broke up with Harvey. Not only did she leave the aggressive lawyer without an assistant; she defected to Team Louis. I thought Mike quitting Pearson Specter was bad. This development was so much worse. It was soul-crushing. Right about now, you’re probably wondering what life sans Donna is going to look like for Harvey.Â
The answer is: a hot mess. That pretty much sums things up for the guy in the Season 5 premiere. The episode is called “Denial,” n’est ce pas?
Season 5 Premiere Synopsis: In the opener, Harvey has difficulty adjusting to changes around the office, which affects his ability to do his work. Donna must acclimate to working for Louis, who’s certain it’s only a matter of time before she returns to Harvey. Mike and Rachel must decide how and when to share their big news, but their excitement about their future together will take a back seat to Harvey and Mike’s latest case.
Questions for the premiere and the rest of Season 5
-Rachel and Mike are engaged. Yay! How smoothly will things go from here? Will there be any obstacles on their road to the altar (or wherever they intend on getting married)?
-How long will Harvey’s adjustment period last?
-Is Donna working for Louis going to be everything he hoped for and more?
-How do Mike, Rachel and Jessica handle the Donna/Harvey breakup and the Donna/Louis union news?
-Who will the next big bad be? Who will be gunning for Harvey this season? There always seems to be someone out to get him.
-How long will Donna and Louis last?
-Will Donna and Harvey ever be the same again? Or will this rupture in their relationship be irreparable?
-Will we see Harvey’s brother this season?
-Jeff is a thing of the past. What will Jessica’s next storyline be? Hopefully we won’t have to wait too long to find out.
-The important people at Pearson Specter Litt know about Mike. Will his fraudulent secret become a thing once again this season?
The Suits Season 5 premiere airs tonight at 9/8c on USA Network.
