UP TV’s newest family-friendly film has some ties to TV Goodness favorites. Headlined by One Tree Hill‘s Danneel Harris and When Calls the Heart‘s Kavan Smith (who also starred in Growing the Big One and last fall’s Garage Sale Mystery installment), Baby Bootcamp is a sweet, funny romantic comedy. Filmed in Vancouver, it’s got several familiar faces from recent Hallmark and UP projects, including Peter Benson and Miranda Frigon, who played a married couple in the first Aurora Teagarden film back in April.
Here’s what to expect: When fitness instructor Julia Penman (Harris) turns 30 with no husband prospect in sight, she vows to start a family of her own – with or without a man – that is, until adorable widowed father Scott (Smith) joins her Baby Boot Camp. The single father of two quickly wins Julia’s heart when her sister enlists the cash strapped Julia to help Scott out as a part-time nanny. Thinking it will be a breeze Julia realizes it is anything but when she gets a crash course in her own baby boot camp trying to learn how to care for Scott’s one year old and seven year old daughter Charlotte who is still quietly mourning the loss of her mother.
