[Warning: General spoilers ahead.]

We have two episodes left and no renewal yet, y’all. I do not like that. So, last week, I didn’t do a full recap because the episode felt like a stage-setter for whatever we’re about to dive into.

In short, here’s what you missed:

  • Bob starts a crew digging a menacingly deep pit for a “pool” in front of the motel.
  • James has his ass handed to him by Bob and his goons and in return confesses all of Norma’s and Norman’s sins and flees town.
  • Bob repeats all of Norma’s info to Romero.
  • Romero confronts Norma and gives her a chance to tell the truth, which she doesn’t take, and he breaks up with her–after going to the trouble to retrieve her Mercedes.
  • Dylan and Caleb do the run for Chick and are double-crossed (shocker) and have to shoot their way out. They are also not paid.
  • Emma and Dylan have a sweet chat on the phone and then she goes by the farm and leaves him flowers and baked goods and has an awkward chat with Gunner.
  • Norma tells Norman their secret’s out and she’s going to talk to Bob. He chases after his phantom revived dog, and then runs right up to Bradley standing on a bridge (not sure whether that was a figment, either).

Here’s what to expect tonight: Norman spends the day with a surprising visitor. Norma struggles to keep secrets contained. While at the farm, Caleb helps Dylan follow through on a good deed, but at a cost.

Bates Motel airs at 9/8c Mondays on A& E. Here’s a sneak peek of “Crazy.”
