One of the great things about CBS’ Person of Interest is that it’s an ever-changing and always-evolving series. The POI of season four feels nothing like the first season. For example, it used to be that Finch’s headquarters was the library. Once upon a time, he even kept Root caged up there.

But now, in this scary new world where it’s The Machine vs. Samaritan, Team Machine has been forced underground and undercover. Deep, deep underground and undercover. This season, a new HQ was born. Finch now sets up camp in an abandoned subway station complete with an abandoned subway car where he and the rest of the team can spy, plan, create new identities and — most importantly — stay safe from Samaritan.

Michael Emerson and Amy Acker — along with POI production designer Rick Butler and set decorator Alyssa Winters — take us on a tour of this magnificent set that’s as much a part of New York City as everything that goes on above ground.

The next episode of Person of Interest is going to be a good one. It’s the return of Detective Carter (Taraji P. Henson)…in flashback form, of course. POI airs Tuesday nights at 10/9c on CBS.
