[Warning: General spoilers ahead.]

Secrets and Lies rolls out episode three tonight ahead of the return of new episodes of Revenge. I’m looking forward to that pairing, to tell you the truth.

We pick up with Ben, still reeling from his newfound and lost fatherhood of Tom, and the new threat from Jess’s ex. So of course, TV 101 says he’s going to have investigate Tom’s murder himself since Cornell is not looking elsewhere.

Here’s the formal logline for “The Affair” — As the holidays approach, Ben tries in vain to keep his family together after a shameful public revelation that makes him look even more guilty. While under scrutiny from the entire neighborhood, Ben makes a startling discovery about a piece of evidence that could be used to implicate him in Tom’s murder. Ben’s life continues to unravel when another personal bombshell rocks the Crawford household. Quickly running out of people to trust, how long can Ben hold it together while maintaining his innocence?

Also, if you’re inclined to learn what Cornell’s working on, ABC has a digital series called “Cornell: Confidential,” which picks up where each Secrets and Lies episodes leave off. It premieres online immediately following each East Coast feed.

Here’s a sneak peak of tonight’s new episode, airing at 9/8c on ABC.
