WARNING: Vikings spoilers

Previously on HISTORY’s Vikings…the warriors we all know, love and are afraid of are back in Wessex. But this time around, they aren’t an enemy to King Ecbert. They are allies…with one condition. In order to get the farmland they so desperately want, they have to act as the muscle for the quirky crazy cool Princess Kwenthrith. She wants what belongs to her and she needs help to go through her family to get it. The Vikings cleverly faced their formidable foes….with authority. Ding dong the uncle’s gone. Now it’s time to deal with the princess’ brother.

Tonight’s episode is called “The Wanderer”:

Synopsis for “The Wanderer”: Lagertha & Athelstan help to establish the Viking settlement in Wessex. Harbard, a mysterious wanderer, arrives in Kattegat, realizing the forewarned dreams of Aslaug, Siggy and Helga.

Teases/Thoughts/Clips

-We find out why Princess Kwenthrith is the way she is — it’s not a pleasant story.

-Bjorn worries about Porunn on the battlefield. He wants to protect her. She wants to be every bit the warrior the men are.

-Even though there isn’t as much action in “The Wanderer,” we’re going to give this episode an 8 out of 10 on the brutal scale. Rollo is one of the ones responsible for this high number. Watch the clip below and see another reason why this show is awesome in its brutality and the Vikings are such an intimidating group of people. Favorite part: the look on Ragnar’s face near the end of the clip. Classic.

-Don’t know about you guys, but we think King Ecbert is mighty smitten with Lagertha. Do you blame him? She’s fierce and fabulous. A sneak peek:

-Kalf keeps things stirred up in Hedeby.

-Princess Auslag, Helga and Siggy figure out they’ve had the same dream which leads to the appearance of another new character. A sneak peek:
