As you may know, season 3 is already in production. We like that Starz is so confident in this series.
What impressed us about season 1 — and what we’re sure will keep us invested in seasons 2 and 3 — are the relationships between these men and women. Searching for treasure (whether or not it exists) is always going to be exciting, but what makes this such an interesting show for us are the people — what they want, what they think they can get, how they show their loyalty and how they come together.
 Season 2 synopsis, from Starz:
Season 2 explores the origins of Captain Flint’s deep‑seated rage and his drive for revenge against the Crown. It shows us some of the complicated circumstances and how he was driven to exile and how he ended up in Nassau.Â
Season 1 ended with a cliffhanger and season 2 picks up almost immediately afterwards, where the Walrus crew is stranded and an army of Spanish soldiers are guarding the Urca gold on the beach.
Season 2 of Black Sails premieres Saturday, January 24th at 9/8c on Starz.
