Warning: Spoilers Ahead

We only recently got into this show and we’ve got something to admit: We’re hooked. Our hesitation had a lot to do with our (completely unfounded) fear that we’d be watching chef Gordon Ramsay scream at children for an hour every week. But we’d heard good things and decided it was time to sample the show. And we’re so glad we did. Not only do we find chef Ramsay — as well as chefs Joe Bastianich and Graham Elliot — nothing but encouraging and supportive, but it’s such a joy to watch these kids show us just how amazing they are in the kitchen. I mean, we’re feeling a little inadequate over here.

4 Teases from “The Class of 2015”

  • Two of the judges like one of the dishes so much, they can’t (or won’t) stop eating it.
  • Chefs Gordon, Bastianich and Elliott do something they’ve never done in the history of the show.
  • One of the cheftestants gets an unusual nickname from chef Ramsay.
  • We mentioned we’re relatively new to the show, right? The end of the episode shocked us. We mean, our mouths may have hit the floor.

Season 3 premiere episode synopsis, from FOX:

On the all-new “Junior Edition” of Masterchef, America’s top 19 junior home cooks are introduced to their first mystery box challenge, in which they must make a complete restaurant-quality dish using any of the ingredients they are given. The winner of the challenge will have a significant advantage and select which of the judges’ favorite pastas the remaining contestants will prepare in the elimination round. Later, the top junior home cooks with the best dishes will advance in the competition in the all-new “Junior Edition: The Class of 2015.”
