[Warning: General spoilers ahead.]

And now for something COMPLETELY different. Three of the Continuum crew —Victor Webster, Jennifer Spence, and Richard Harmon –made the most of their hiatus with a tongue-in-cheek holiday disaster flick where the main characters’ names are derived from The Christmas Carol. That’s some primo fromage, y’all. Syfy does these every now and again and they’re usually cheesy good fun –the last one, Snowmageddon, had David Cubitt and BSG‘s Michael Hogan. (It repeats twice this month.)

Here’s the basic plot: An asteroid strikes a small town, triggering an explosive wave of deadly ice crystals threatening to freeze all human life. The supporting cast is populated with folks you’ll recognize from various Canadian-filmed projects–including Tiera Skovbye (Three Weeks, Three Kids), Ben Cotton (The Killing), Alex Zahara (When Calls the Heart), Mike Dopud (Cedar Cove), and Adrian Dunbar (Garage Sale Mystery).
