WARNING: Spoilers for mid-season finale of FOX’s Sleepy Hollow

The end of days is here and it’s just in time for the dramatic mid-season finale of FOX’s Sleepy Hollow.

FOX’s Synopsis for “The Akeda”: Unforeseen sacrifices must be made and loyalties are put to the ultimate test in the fight against evil in “The Akeda.”

Moloch’s hell bent on bringing hell on earth. So the apocalypse Sleepy Hollow-style means exactly what you’d think. There’s going to be heartache, drama, surprises, sacrifice and even a feel-good moment or two. And, yes, the winter hiatus is going to be mighty painful. Three more things you need to know about “The Akeda”:

Ichabod and Abbie ride a motorcycle. As you would expect, there isn’t an overabundance of humor in this episode. But there is some. And this scene is responsible for a little bit of it. Find out how Ichabod and Abbie find themselves on a motorcycle. More importantly, find out how Ichabod reacts to his very first ride.

In “Magnum Opus,” Captain Frank Irving disappeared after escaping from Tarrytown Psychiatric Hospital. In “The Akeda,” he is (thankfully) present and a big part of the action.

The conflict between husband and wife Ichabod and Katrina continues to grow. They are not in a good place. How gigantic will the chasm between the witch and the witness get? If they survive the apocalypse, will their marriage be able to survive ?

The Sleepy Hollow mid-season finale airs tonight at 9/8c on FOX.
