ION Television throws its hat into the 2014 family-friendly Christmas movie ring with five new films premiering between Sunday and Christmas. They’re kicking off Sunday morning with a marathon of some of the films from their library, and will continue with marathons and premieres every Sunday before Christmas. Here’s a rundown of a few of their films with familiar faces, and the first two upcoming debuts.

A Golden Christmas (and 2 and 3)

This trilogy of films all spin around Golden Retrievers who help families find holiday happiness. The movies have featured Nicholas Brendon and Andrea Roth (first one), Dallas’s Julie Gonzalo, Bruce Davison and Alley Mills (second one, which was also called 3 Holiday Tails), and One Tree Hill‘s Shantel VanSanten and The Client List‘s Rob Mayes (third one). They marathon back to back starting Sunday at 1 pm/noon.

A Christmas Wedding Date

Nashville‘s Chris Carmack stars opposite Marla Sokoloff in a Christmas romance about a woman who, after being fired from her high-powered job, heads home for a friend’s wedding and finds out that sometimes you get a second chance. It airs at 11 pm/10c and through EOY. It’s also premiering on UP Television Tuesday night.

A Christmas Mystery

Esme Bianco (Game of Thrones) and Ryan Bittle (All My Children) headline this new movie about a mystery surrounding 12 years of unopened Christmas cards. The film premieres Sunday night at 9/8c. Watch the sneak peek here.

Christmas Mail

Fan favorite A.J. Buckley stars opposite Ashley Scott (Jericho) as a postman intrigued by his new co-worker, who’s a little overly enthused about the Christmas season. It airs at 5 pm 4/c next Sunday.

Merry Ex-Mas

Kristy Swanson and Dean Cain reunite in a tale of a husband trying to prove to his humiliated wife that leaked photos aren’t what they seem. It premieres next Sunday at 9/8c and you can sneak peek it here.
