Okay, it’s the finals and it’s time to fight for the Mirror Ball. I really do feel that the Freestyle is what makes or breaks whether you win or lose the ball! And it is a tight race this season so anything can happen. The first dance the couples will do is a repeat dance that the judges pick and the second is the highly anticipated Freestyle! Let the games begin:
NIGHT #1:

1st Dance- Judges’ choice:
Bethany Mota and Derek Hough
Dance: Jive
- Bethany unfortunately got a tiny bit off because of a set problem. But I thought she did a great job and Derek really is one of the best choreographers and teachers.
Score: Carrie Ann – 9, Len- 9, Julianne- 9, Bruno-9 Total: 36
Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas
Dance: Samba
- I really feel that she is not as great as the judges think. She’s not a bad dancer but, as I have said all season, she is so awkward.
Score: Carrie Ann-10, Len-9, Julianne-10, Bruno-9; Total: 38
Janel Parrish and Val Chmerkovskiy
Dance: Samba
- Janel suffered a rib injury during rehearsals. I still think she is an excellent dancer but she probably could have gotten perfect 10s if she wasn’t hurt.
Score: Carrie Ann-9, Len-10, Julianne- 9, Bruno-9; Total: 37
Alfonso Ribero and Witney Carson
Dance: Jive
- This is the same dance that they did the first week and they got all 9s then. It was worth 10s then and it finally got what the dance deserved!
Score: Carrie Ann-10, Len-10, Julianne-10, Bruno-10; Total: 40
2nd Dance- Freestyle:
Bethany Mota and Derek Hough
- I absolutely loved this dance. Derek never disappoints but Bethany was right up there with him! They ended up doing this for the repeat dance on night two. Great job!
Score: Carrie Ann – 10, Len- 10, Julianne- 10 Bruno-10; Total: 40
Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas

- I will give props to Mark for creativity! Using video game music and dressing like the characters is different. My niece and nephew liked it but still not a fan of Sadie’s.
Score: Carrie Ann-10, Len-10, Julianne-10, Bruno-10; Total: 40
Janel Parrish and Val Chmerkovskiy
- It was a very beautiful and sensual dance. Do I think it’s the best idea for the Freestyle? Not sure. I think Janel is a fabulous dancer.
Score: Carrie Ann-10, Len-10, Julianne- 10, Bruno-10; Total: 40
Alfonso Ribero and Witney Carson
- I’ve been a fan from the beginning and what I loved about this Freestyle was that it showed how versatile of a dancer Alfonso really is. There is not a better dancer on the show.
Score: Carrie Ann-10, Len-10, Julianne-10, Bruno-10; Total: 40
At the end of the evening, one of the finalists is eliminated and loses their chance to win the Mirror Ball.
In 4th place: Bethany and Derek! Boo! Thought they should have been 3rd but oh well!
NIGHT #2:
A few things I would like to say about night two:
-LoLo Jones couldn’t even get her cue together and didn’t even do an individual dance? Was she hurt or embarrassed?
-I really enjoy Tommy Chong.
-The dancers on this show are so great.
-Is Twitch going to be one of the professionals next season? Wife against husband? Awesome.
So the three finalists had 24 hours (really much less) that they had to put together a fusion dance. This would count for half of their score.

Fusion Dance
Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas
Dance: Samba/Quickstep
- This wasn’t a perfect dance and it’s true I am not a fan. But it wasn’t a perfect dance. What makes me upset was that even Len said it wasn’t perfect and he gave a 10! Why would the person who is always consistent do that? I was furious…(I need to get a life!)
Score: Carrie Ann-10, Len-10, Julianne-10, Bruno-10; Total: 40
Janel Parrish and Val Chmerkovskiy
Dance: Foxtrot/Paso doble
- Now this is a dance that is worth the perfect score! It was beyond perfect! Loved it.
Score: Carrie Ann-9, Len-10, Julianne- 9, Bruno-9; Total: 37
Alfonso Ribero and Witney Carson
Dance: Cha Cha/Argentine Tango
- Again a dance that is totally worth a perfect score. Alfonso is on fire.
Score: Carrie Ann-10, Len-10, Julianne-10, Bruno-10; Total: 40
At this point, I feel worried, I’m nervous of who is going to win. The 3rd place winners are announced:

Janel & Val. I feel they should have come in second but these two are obviously dating or something so they have that.
And it comes down to two couples: Sadie & Mark and Alfonso & Witney. That horrible music comes on and the winner of the Season 19 is….duh, duh, duh, duh, duh…..

Alfonso & Witney!!!!! Yeah! The correct couple has won the show and all is right with the world. Look…we all knew he could dance but to have the injuries he has had and make it happen is really amazing!
So another season down and now all the guessing begins of who will be on the next season. Who do you want to see on the show?
See you in the spring when Dancing with the Stars celebrates ten years on the air!
