The Newsroom Preview: “Main Justice” [VIDEO]

Will is in big trouble and he’s not alone. It seems like everyone at ACN is facing some daunting challenges as the series comes to an end. Tonight’s episode, “Main Justice,” marks the halfway point of the third and final season of HBO’s The Newsroom.

Here’s a sneak peek:

The FBI is looking for Neal, but it’s unclear if and when they are ever going to find him. During last week’s episode, “Run” – Will encouraged Neal to do just that after corporate attorney, Rebecca Halliday made it clear to him that he’d likely face espionage charges, as a result of helping a source steal classified government documents. Neal escaped, just as the FBI raided the ACN newsroom. Since Will decided to take the heat for Neal, it seems like he’ll be playing hardball with the FBI. It doesn’t appear like they’ll be backing down anytime soon.

Meanwhile, members of “News Night” attend the White House Correspondents’ dinner. Leona and Reese are desperately trying to raise $4 Billion dollars in an effort to save their company from a hostile takeover by evil twins, Blair and Randy.

They go looking for anyone who can provide them with the funds. Lucas Pruit (B.J. Novak “The Office”) may just be that person.

And if tensions aren’t already high enough, everyone is on guard when the new Vice President of Human Resources, Wyatt Geary (Keith Powell “30 Rock”) makes it his business to get to know everyone’s business. He seems to be extremely interested in finding out the status of Sloan and Don’s relationship.

Looking further down the road as the series comes to a close, here are some questions to ponder:

What will happen to Will if he refuses to reveal the name of Neal’s government source?

How will everyone adapt to all of the new changes at ACN?

Will MacKenzie and Will get married?

Speaking of relationships, what will become of Don and Sloan and Maggie and Jim? Do either one of these couples have a future together?

After tonight, there are only 3 new episodes left. You won’t want to miss any of them.

The Newsroom airs Sundays at 9/8c on HBO.
