[Warning: General spoilers ahead.]
UP Television joins the festive fray of holiday films with a lineup of originals and classics that they’re calling Everything You Love About Christmas. The first new movie out of the gate is the Christmas romance Naughty & Nice, starring Haylie Duff in a tale of dueling radio hosts and polar (get it?) opposites who find love on the air.
Here’s the formal logline: It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Los Angeles and commuters have Pepper Sterling (Nashville‘s Tilky Jones), a cynical and funny radio comic, to keep them entertained. When he gets shipped over to a sister station, KBRG in Idyllwild, Colorado, he runs headlong into Sandy Love (Duff), who came home to Idyllwild to host her own talk show and is unapologetically romantic and nostalgic, especially at Christmas. Thrown together as co-hosts on her show, “Dr. Love in the Morning,” their war of words catches the attention of the small town, their joint show becomes a hit, and they start to see something in each other.
Also in the cast are The Brady Bunch‘s Maureen McCormick and Terrence “T.C.” Carson (Living Single).
Naughty & Nice airs twice Sunday night, at 7/6 and 9/8c, and throughout the holiday season. Here are a couple of sneak peeks, and a look behind the scenes.
