One of the blessings of being a child of the 70s and 80s was that the bullying you endured at school stopped when you went home, as long as you didn’t answer the phone. Three-way calling, which was brand new at the time, allowed unheard parties to listen in on your calls and you learned pretty quickly that was a weapon. I can’t even imagine the 24-hour cycle of bullying that the Internet and cell phones have created. Even Cedar Cove introduced a teen bullying storyline in its final two episodes this season, pointing out that it’s bad enough there are now legal ramifications.October is National Bullying Prevention Month, and tonight, UP Television premieres Nowhere Safe, a story about two teen girls who cyber bully a third to the point that she and her mother have to move. As they start over in a new town, they finally come to terms with their experience. Natasha Henstridge (The Secret Circle) stars alongside Danielle Chuchran (Survivor) and Jamie Kennedy (Ghost Whisperer).
