How to Get Away with Murder “It’s All Her Fault”

Last week we left off with Professor Keating’s law students standing over a dead body deciding what to do with it.  This week we saw Wes Gibbins inside a drugstore buying supplies to burn the body.

The students had to assist on a cringe-worthy case. Not only did the client basically admit that he did it in the initial meeting, he physically showed them how he murdered his wife. (It was later revealed his daughter did it.) The students rallied some great ideas to help with the case and some really fell behind, like last weeks shining star, Michaela Pratt.

Sam Keating was under the microscope in this episode, Annalise suspected something going on between him and the student that went missing. She found email exchanges between the two and was not pleased. Near the end of the episode she went back to check on those messages she had previously seen, and they were gone. She then went to Nate Leahy’s and begged for his help. Keating is determined to find out whether or not her husband played a part in the student going missing. Keating broke down and showed a vulnerable side we aren’t used to in the last few moments. She’s scared her husband might have done something terrible and can’t wrap her head around. Leahy promises to help her find out the truth.

We learned in the final moments, that Wes is with Rebecca and that’s why he got rid of the body. Still no word yet on how or why Sam Keating is dead, hopefully that is revealed soon.

This episode featured a lot of back and forth jumping in between the past and the present. It hast been addressed yet how much time is in between each flash forward, but with the way the students are acting and the decisions they are making regarding the dead body it’s safe to say they’ve had a few classes with Professor Keating.  Her class after all is called “How To Get Away With Murder.”

Most Shocking Moment: Eloise finding out about her mothers death. Later it was revealed that she learned about her mother’s murder months before the trial. She even sent over the evidence of her mother’s death to the prosecutors in an attempt to put her father in jail.

Character Spotlight: Bonnie Winterbottom

Although she was featured in the pilot we really didn’t get to meet her until tonight. She’s tough and doesn’t reveal it all at once. It seems as though she knows something about Sam that Annalise doesn’t, and that she is all too well with the Professor/student relationship.  She will definitely bring the drama in episodes to come.

How to Get Away with Murder airs Thursdays at 10/9c on ABC.
