Warning: Spoilers Ahead
The season three finale of Person of Interest ended with most of our beloved characters in some pretty dire straits. While Vigilance was gone, Greer (John Nolan) had been successful in getting the NSA feeds and bringing the second Machine, Samaritan, online.  And unfortunately, its first order of business was to track down and eliminate all threats, which included Reese (Jim Caviezel), Finch (Michael Emerson), Root (Amy Acker), Shaw (Sarah Shahi) and the four hackers that Root had recruited. In order to stay alive, all of our heroes had to assume new identities and head underground — in other words, pretty much become ordinary people and thus, invisible.
In the premiere, the team is forced to adhere to their new identities. However, some find it very hard to ignore the Machine’s numbers, which ends up putting them all at risk at being detected by Samaritan.
The season four premiere of Person of Interest airs Tuesday, September 23rd at 10/9c on CBS.
