NBC’s The Voice returns on Monday, Sept. 22. We got the chance to screen the very first episode of season seven and take it from us — it’s one of the best episodes of the series ever.
The competition has been amplified times a thousand. And we’re not just talking among the singers, although the talent is pretty amazing. We’re talking about the level of competition that exists among the four coaches, too. Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams adapt to their new gig instantly. Adam and Blake are forced to raise their game in a big, big way. And they do.

Synopsis of the Season 7 Premiere: NBC’S HIT MUSICAL COMPETITION SERIES RETURNS WITH GRAMMY AWARD-WINNING ARTISTS GWEN STEFANI AND PHARRELL WILLIAMS, WHO JOIN RETURNING COACHES ADAM LEVINE AND BLAKE SHELTON – In the season premiere, the “blind auditions†are held in front of celebrity musician coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams, who hand pick vocalists for their individual teams.
