Warning: Spoilers Ahead
With no explanation of how she got there and no way of knowing how she can escape, Claire reluctantly settles into her new life in 1743 Inverness. But what will her cover story be? She decides that Frank isn’t alive (which is technically true; he hasn’t been born yet) and in a place and time where being English and a woman doesn’t do her any favors, Claire’s got to remember to keep her temper and her mouth in check. She befriends a woman who is called a witch because she knows a thing or two about medicines and herbs – just like Claire. Can Claire convince everyone that she is who she says she is? We hope so. Her life kind of depends on it.
