It all hit the fan at the end of The Strain premiere last Sunday, to say the least. The 206 dead passengers from flight 753 turned out to not be dead and the mysterious “coffin” made it across the river to Manhattan, a definite omen that things are about to go from bad to worst. In episode 2, it’s not just the missing stiffs that everyone is concerned about.  The four so-called survivors are starting to exhibit strange symptoms, but are released by asshat Director Barnes, against the stark warning of Dr. Goodweather.
And Abraham gets a visit from an old acquaintance while in jail. There we learn Setrakian isn’t just trying to stop a plague — his involvement is far more personal.
Kevin Durand (Lost) also makes his long-awaited first appearance as Vasily Fet.  Love this character and those who are a fan of the actor and his work I’m sure will too.
Episode 1.02 of The Strain is titled “The Box” and airs this Sunday at 10/9c on FX.
