Have you caught your breath from last week’s episode? Good! Because Syfy is ready to drop the third season finale on you, and while it doesn’t have as many jaw-dropping moments as “The Dying Minutes,” it does lay some serious WTF-ery at your feet by hour’s end.
We begin with (short-lived) domestic bliss between Kiera/Brad and Emily/Alec until the reality of their situations crashes in and Kiera proposes a really unlikely alliance. Now that all of their futures are super-uncertain, it’s no less a dice roll than anything else, so all parties come together to git-er done.
The finale is solid, and pays off a couple of threads that have been left dangling this season, which I was glad see get resolved. We also come full circle to Alec and Kiera, which feels long overdue. We don’t know yet whether there will be a fourth season. I really hope there is because this cast and crew continue to tell heartfelt, interesting stories–logic and timelines be damned.
Here’s the official logline: Kiera battles old friends by allying with former enemies. Alec stands on the precipice of power with one man in his way. A season’s worth of choices come down to one. unbelieveable. moment.
