Confession: It’s easy to just say I loved the whole episode, but there are moments that stood out as my favorites. The one thing that kept going through my mind was, “Holy crap†and that the episode was epic.Â
Kudos to Stana and Nathan as well as the other cast and crew. It turned out great and it was the perfect way to wrap up the storyline of Beckett’s mom’s murder and Senator Bracken…or at least I thought so.
What I Loved: There’s so much about the episode that I loved last night. It’s hard to narrow it down to just a few, but I will do my best.
Montgomery in flashbacks. This was the most surprising part of the episode to me. I loved seeing that! I knew that in the end he would find a way to help Beckett in solving her mom’s murder. I’m not sure how the cast and crew kept that a secret, but wow.
Caskett. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention all the Caskett goodness in last night’s episode. I think my favorite part was the end and how you could see Castle was proud of Beckett. I loved when he told her that wherever her mom was, she was proud of Kate, too. Aww…it’s making me tear up all over again just thinking about it.
I also loved the end when Beckett and Castle were hugging and how Kate said she couldn’t have done any of it without Castle. It made my little shipper heart melt with that ending.
Bracken finally got his. Yes! I love when Beckett got the tape and was able to arrest Bracken. It was the perfect scene. I loved it when she said he was under arrest for “fraud and the murder of my mother, Johanna Beckett.†I am sure that brought Kate some closure and at the same time, justice for her mom.
I kept thinking, “Good, Beckett finally got to nail him to the wall. It’s about time!â€Â
Gosh, what else can I say except Thank you, Andrew Marlowe, for bringing us an amazing episode. I honestly think this has got to be the best episode of the entire series. Wow! I know we’ve had our serious episodes before, but this one takes the cake.Â
The cast and crew really brought their “A” game last night. It was the perfect mix of all the elements I love about Castle as a whole. I am still in complete awe of how they were able to pull off such a brilliant episode. Caskett love…and Caskett feels all over the Castle universe!!
