Confession: It is extremely difficult to pick my favorite moments. That’s because I loved the whole episode. It brought the perfect mix of fun, humor, and Caskett goodness. I am still smiling! If this episode makes me happy I can’t wait to see what happens in the last two, especially the finale. Squee!

The episode brought plenty of Caskett goodness and love, that’s for sure!

What I Loved: It’s easy to just say I loved the whole episode, but there are moments that stood out as my favorites.

Caskett. This episode had some fun, playful Caskett goodness that I love. Yet it didn’t detract from the case.

I love to see the lighter side of their relationship and partnership. I think one of my favorite moments was when Beckett introduced Castle as her associate. I can’t remember any other episodes where she used that term.

Caskett playing Scrabble. I loved the competitiveness of Castle & Beckett with the Scrabble game and that it was a recurring theme throughout the episode. It had some light, funny moments.

Caskett playing poker. I can’t write my recap without mentioning the end of the episode. We haven’t see them mention or play poker since season one. It was definitely a surprise to me that it was strip poker but I liked it.

Ryan & Esposito competing to be Castle’s Best Man. I thought this was funny. I was assuming that Castle would pick both of them as Best Men not Groomsmen. When we found out he picked Alexis, it wasn’t surprising, just a different outcome than I expected.

Speaking of Alexis, what is the correct term anyway? Is it Best Woman or Best Person? I personally like Best Woman, but I guess we’ll wait and see if that changes as we approach the wedding,

I didn’t find anything that I didn’t like in the episode again this week. That doesn’t happen very often, let alone two episodes in a row… and in one season. Great writing, Jim Adler! This was his first episode as a writer, and he really brought his A game. Nice job.

I can’t wait to see what is in store for next week’s episode, “Veritas.” I know it focuses on Beckett’s mom’s murder and Senator Bracken. I hope this is the resolution to that story arc for Beckett. Not only for her, but for us as an audience. It would be nice to see it wrapped up nicely, put to bed, so to speak.

What does everyone else think? If we do get the Braken/Beckett’s mom’s murder story resolved, is that a good thing or not? Personally, I think it’s good so that Beckett can move on and not have that hanging over her. It’s not that she won’t think about her mom, but at least it won’t be as painful for her.

Castle airs Mondays at 10/9c on ABC.
