Ever since Finch’s fiancee, Grace Hendricks (Carrie Preston), was introduced, I have always known that the day would come when someone would use her as a pawn to get to Finch.  And, that day has come.  The last episode, “Death Benefit”, ended with Decima bringing Samaritan online and its first order of business to find Harold Finch.

I guess that plan isn’t working very well because now Greer (John Nolan) and his spooks are resorting to threatening Grace in order to bring Finch out from hiding.  So, Grace is now the team’s latest POI, and Reese, Shaw, and Fusco’s sole priority is to keep her safe at all costs.

We’re not even at the season finale yet, but I am already predicting this episode to be one of the best of the season.  So many questions come to mind.  Will Finch’s team be able to keep Grace safe, and will they be able to do it without revealing the fact that Finch is still alive?  And, if Finch is forced to come out from hiding, what will Grace think about the love of her life faking his death?  But the biggest question mark is about what Finch says in the Preview:

If they hurt her in any way, kill them all.  – Finch to Reese

So much for Finch’s speech at the end of the last episode proclaiming that all human life is sacred and that they should never resort to killing anyone. That idealistic vision doesn’t look so good when the life of someone you love is on the line, now does it, Finch?

Regardless, this is definitely an episode you don’t want to miss.   Episode 3.21 is titled “Beta”, and airs on Tuesday at 10/9c on CBS.
